Museum Nord’s existing brand and website were beginning to feel dated and no longer reflected the scale or ambition of the organisation. With 21 venues to represent, as well as a wide range of events, projects, stories, and artefacts, the old site struggled to bring everything together in a clear and engaging way. The logo and visual identity lacked balance and strength, and there was a need for a tagline that could work seamlessly in both English and Norwegian. On top of this, the website required practical features like an ecommerce shop for tickets and merchandise, as well as support for bilingual content.

We refreshed the Museum Nord brand with careful tweaks to the logo, creating a stronger, more balanced identity while still respecting the original design. A new tagline, “21 Venues, Endless Stories”, was introduced and crafted to work across both English and Norwegian, capturing the organisation’s breadth and purpose. To support this, we developed a comprehensive set of brand guidelines, ensuring the new identity could be rolled out consistently across all venues and platforms. The website was completely redesigned to showcase all 21 venues in a way that felt cohesive and easy to explore, while also highlighting events, projects, stories, and artefacts. An ecommerce shop was built in to handle ticket and merchandise sales, and full bilingual functionality ensured the site could serve both local and international audiences. The result is a modern, versatile platform that strengthens Museum Nord’s identity and makes its rich cultural offering more accessible than ever.
